Khao Yai National Park is my favorite place to trip. I can enjoy the wildness and cool weather. It's close from Bangkok,too.
Cost
Entrance Fee : 160 baht / 3 person with a car. If you have a Thai driving license, 40baht/person.
Accommodation : 4800 baht / 2 nights. 30% discount on weekdays(Mon~Thu).
Gas : 1000 baht / 450km(Bangkok ~ Khao Yai)
Food : 3000 baht / 3 person, 3days.
Night Safari
Riding on a truck, you can watch animals with a spotlight. If you book a night safari on the HQ, they'll pick you up on your bungalow on 7pm or 8pm.
Jungle Trekking
If you want to go into the Khao Yai jungle, you need to hire a guide for it. You can book a guided jungle trekking on HQ. It starts near HQ. After raining, there can be many leeches. So you should prepare a pair of leech socks and a repellent. It's in HQ,too.
If it's clear sky, you would see so many stars in the sky. Sometime, you would see thousands of fireflies,too. I took this photo by facing my camera toward the sky and set the shutter speed to 30sec.
